| StarCaddy has a great number of features to help you improve your game. Here, we have divided them into three categories: Map Display, Yardage Measurements, and Scoring |
| Map Display: |
| Most of the time, you're going to want to look at the hole that you're playing. You want to see where you're standing and the location of all the course features from tee to green. |
As you walk closer to the green, you want to see a closer-up view. Tap on the (Zoom) icon and tap in the green and watch it zoom to a 2X resolution.Tap again to zoom in closer.
Don't feel like having to zoom each time you approach the green? Turn on the auto-zoom feature and watch the resolution increase automatically as you move toward the green.
Want to see how the whole course looks (or where the next hole is)? Tap on the (course view) icon. |

| Yardage Measurements: |
| The most basic of StarCaddy functions is giving you yardage to the green. It is displayed for you any time that you're looking at the map without having to touch a function icon. StarCaddy always gives the straight line distance from you to the green. |
The exceptional value of StarCaddy is in measuring all the other important yardages! Use the (layup) function to see how to position your ball just short of the pond, right at the corner of the dogleg or to land your ball on the back slope of the green AND, with each measurement you'll see both the distance from you to the spot and from the spot to the green.
You can also measure other distances. Select the (measure) function to see how wide the fairway is in the landing area, the length of the green, or how far your partner hit his tee shot.

| Scoring: |
StarCaddy enables you to keep score for yourself or for your entire foursome. It tracks your gross and net score for both match and stroke (medal) play.
At the beginning of the round, you'll choose the players for whom you'll keep score. If you've kept score for these players in the past, their names and handicaps are saved from the last time. If not, you can add them easily. As you set up your foursome, you'll choose which set of tees each player will use.
StarCaddy will do automatic handicapping calculations based on the entered handicaps for any 2, 3 or 4-person best-ball match. With official USGA handicaps, StarCaddy will make the USGA-defined adjustments based on the slope and rating of the course and the different sets of tees in use by your foursome. Without official handicaps, you can use the handicap field to enter the strokes given and turn off the course adjustment feature.
At the end of each hole, you'll use the Quick Score form to select the score for each player in the foursome. You can also record any side-bets* (greenies, sandies, skins, etc.) won by any player in the group and note any presses that are waged in the match. Once the score is entered for all players, select the Map view to advance to the next hole.
At any time, you can view the full ScoreCard. The ScoreCard displays the tees, yardage and handicap for each hole, just as it appears on the paper scorecard handed out at the course. It shows you the scores you've entered and dynamically calculates the In, Out and Total scores and, in match play, tracks the status of the match. All scores can be viewed as both gross and net (after handicap). The StarCaddy ScoreCard also displays a check mark for each stroke received by any player on any hole in match play, dots for any side-bets won, and a "P" on any hole in which a press was waged.
